Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a unique challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide details the methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's rich content.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of the bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, are visible using Spirit Vision. Crossing requires strategic use of:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the broken segments.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but may be limited by party composition.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Using two pyramids, one companion can cross using translocation, then the others teleport to their location.
-
Fast Travel: A companion with translocation can reach the Bloodmoon Island waypoint, allowing the rest of the party to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferryman
Located on a pier northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is deceptive:
-
With Fane: Only Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, survives the crossing. He can then activate the Bloodmoon Island waypoint for the rest of the party.
-
Without Fane: Requires two Teleporter Pyramids. One companion takes the ferry, dies on arrival, and is resurrected using the second pyramid and a resurrection spell or scroll. This method is less efficient than the bridge.
Important Note: Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared for his potent Deathfog spell. A quicksave is recommended before engaging. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP. For parties without Fane, the bridge remains the more practical route to Bloodmoon Island.
