First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed for an eight-episode first season. Studio Mir's involvement promises a visually stunning adaptation.
While plot details remain shrouded in secrecy, the series appears to focus on Dante from the era of the first three Devil May Cry games, though any direct connections to the game's storylines are yet to be confirmed. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, known for voicing Nero in the video game series.
The last mainline entry in the Devil May Cry franchise, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019 to widespread critical acclaim. It marked a triumphant return to form for the series following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. A standout action title, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our full review here.
