Yetuga is your first boss encounter in *The First Berserker: Khazan*, and it's no walk in the park. To emerge victorious, you'll need to master the game's combat mechanics, focusing on dodges and parries to mitigate damage. Yetuga is known for its aggressive nature, launching frenetic attacks when its territory is threatened. It can perform both long and short-range attacks, including a leaping slam.

Here are the key moves you need to watch out for:

  • A two-hit combo starting with a left-handed smash downward followed by a right-handed uppercut.
  • A four-hit combo with horizontal swipes using either its left or right arm.
  • A downward smash with both arms.
  • A leaping single-handed smash.
  • A jumping grab.
  • A charge.

As you engage with Yetuga, you'll need to learn its attack patterns and strike back during the brief windows between its assaults. Parrying is particularly effective against all attacks except the jumping grab, allowing you to inflict significant Stamina damage. Use Yetuga's aggressive behavior to your advantage; for instance, dodging its charge and letting it crash into a wall will leave it momentarily vulnerable, giving you a chance to attack and potentially break the ice spikes on its back, which will weaken its offensive capabilities.

As you progress into the second phase of the fight, Yetuga will roar and power up, signaling a shift in its tactics. It will grab a giant rock to smash at you, so be ready to dodge or parry at the right moment. Additionally, it will use a frost breath that creates ice spikes; you can either move away or parry this attack. Keep up the pressure with Potent Attacks, and when Yetuga shows signs of exhaustion, unleash a Brutal Attack to deal substantial damage and bring it down.

Upon defeating Yetuga, you'll be rewarded with 4,800 Lacrima, along with Frozen Mountain gear items and the Necklace of Resolve, making your efforts well worth it.

That's all you need to know to successfully beat Yetuga in *The First Berserker: Khazan*. For more tips and strategies, be sure to check out The Escapist for further assistance with the game.
