Michael Sarnoski, the acclaimed director behind A Quiet Place: Day One, is set to helm the live-action adaptation of Kojima Productions' Death Stranding. According to Deadline, Sarnoski will not only direct but also pen the script for this much-anticipated project, with A24 and Kojima Productions co-producing alongside Square Peg. Sarnoski's portfolio includes directing and writing for A Quiet Place: Day One and the 2021 film Pig, starring Nicolas Cage. He is also slated to write and direct The Death of Robin Hood, another A24 venture.
While specifics about the plot of the *Death Stranding* adaptation remain under wraps, the 2019 game's premise offers rich cinematic potential. In the game, players navigate a post-apocalyptic America, working to reconnect its isolated communities amidst an extinction-level event, all while facing eerie creatures and mysterious phenomena.
