We gave the AMD Radeon RX 9070 a solid 8/10 rating. Priced similarly to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, the RX 9070 outperforms it in most games and boasts more VRAM (16GB vs. 12GB), making it a more future-proof choice. Our tests showed it consumes about the same amount of power as the RTX 5070.

"The AMD Radeon RX 9070 is a standout 1440p graphics card that makes its competition nearly irrelevant. It delivers superb 1440p performance, often reaching high refresh rates without frame generation, and includes an AI upscaler for enhanced image quality. The only downside is its similarity to the Radeon RX 9070 XT, which offers slightly more performance for a higher price."
The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT earned a perfect 10/10 from us. Despite being $150 less than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the 9070 XT outperforms it in several games, with some benchmarks showing a significant lead. It also matches the VRAM of the 9070 and 5070 Ti at 16GB. However, it does consume more power and runs hotter than the RTX 5070 Ti on average.
