Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your journey begins in the heart of the town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by offloading any excess loot and gearing up. I recommend a Rifle for its balance of cost and firepower; it's just $75 and effective against most foes, at least temporarily. Remember to stock up on coal to keep your ship's old-school engine running.

Your next destination is 10,000m away. Start your journey by igniting the engine. While you can stop to engage and loot Zombies and Drowned, it's generally not worth it due to the scarcity of valuable items in the roadside houses. Keep your ship moving by adding more coal as needed. Ignore the worm on the right side and wait until you reach the second safe zone to sell your goods, but stay vigilant against Big Foot and Zombie mobs along the river.

After the second safe zone, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with mobs. If you're with friends, clear them out; otherwise, it's not worth the time due to scattered spawn points. At around 12,000m, you'll find a castle-like house packed with Drowned but also containing valuable loot like Shotgun ammo. Use these resources strategically.

Dead Sails Kraken Tips and Tricks
The core gameplay remains straightforward: kill, loot, repeat, and aim for enemy defeat. To excel, leverage your boat as your primary inventory. Unload your bag upon returning to the boat to optimize time and space.

A key strategy from my experience is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. While it's tempting to rush through towns, efficient loot management is crucial. If you're low on fuel, simply toss a few Zombies into the incinerator to keep going.

Another tip: keep an eye on what's happening in Sheriff's offices. These areas often have a higher concentration of mobs but also offer substantial rewards in weapons and ammo. My shotgun lasted longer thanks to a friend clearing the ground floor while we explored towns.

Save your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at 25,000m. It's under construction, making it a prime spot for ambushes. I recommend tackling this area with at least three others, ideally a full team of five. Be efficient in collecting loot.

Avoid engaging Big Feet after 30,000m. They're tough, hit hard, and require a lot of ammo to defeat safely. Plan your stops carefully, as not all loot is worth the risk.
The town after 50,000m is one of my favorite farming spots, with at least two dozen Drowned and Zombies. With friends wielding Shotguns or Sawnoffs, it's an efficient way to gather corpses for fuel. Coordinate with your team to prepare bodies for loading quickly.

In the final safe zone, sell all your goods and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't underestimate the Zombies and Drowned; ensure you have a minimum of 8-10 corpses for fuel during this crucial phase. As you approach 100,000m, you'll enter open waters, setting the stage for the Kraken battle. The impending arrival of the beast is signaled by darkening skies.

When the Kraken emerges, everyone must target a tentacle. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can attack if not properly countered. If you have five players, form a pentagram-like shape and focus on your assigned tentacle.

Watch out for the water splash ability, which causes AoE damage and is telegraphed by the Kraken pulling back its tentacle, creating a water trail. Use medkits liberally as some damage is unavoidable.

Lastly, beware of the Roar AoE, which deals minor but unblockable damage and seems to slightly buff the boss's damage. It's identifiable by white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle that used the ability.

As you can see, the challenge is manageable with the right strategy. This concludes my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To conquer the boss even faster, consider using one of our Dead Sails codes to boost your progress. Best of luck, and may you have smooth sailing ahead!
