Confirmed: Marvel Rivals will be getting 2 heroes every 3 months

NetEase Games keeps Marvel Rivals fresh with regular updates. The plan is to release updates approximately every six weeks, introducing two new heroes each quarter. This ensures players always have something new to explore.

Game director Guangyun Chen explained that each season's update is divided. One hero is added in the first half, and another in the second. This keeps both players and the audience engaged. Beyond new heroes, updates will include new maps, storylines, and objectives.

Previously announced characters include Blade (currently unplayable) and Ultron (revealed through leaks). The full Fantastic Four team's inclusion has also been confirmed.

GameLook, a Chinese publication, reported the game generated approximately $100 million globally, with a significant portion from the Chinese market. This marks a major move for Marvel, a film industry giant, into the gaming world.

Marvel Rivals successfully filled a void in the hero-shooter genre, following the less-than-stellar reception of Square Enix's Avengers. NetEase delivered a high-quality heroic shooter with a strong roster of characters, receiving positive reviews upon release.
