A charming new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is launching on Android! The name's a clever blend of "cat" and "toast," reflecting the game's unique premise. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers did, and the result is a perpetually spinning, gravity-defying feline spectacle!
Initially a 2022 BOOOM Gamejam entry by Team Woll, the positive reception led to its full development. Currently available on Steam for PC, Cato: Buttered Cat is soon heading to Android and other platforms. While the Google Play Store listing isn't live yet, pre-registration is open on the official TapTap page.
Gameplay:
Cato: Buttered Cat is a puzzle platformer where you control a cat and a piece of buttered toast. Solve puzzles, battle enemies, and explore five whimsical worlds packed with 200 levels (including side quests). Uncover a hidden storyline through scattered clues and dress your cat in 30 unique outfits.
The cat's agility and the toast's projectile capabilities create engaging gameplay. Use the toast to propel the cat to otherwise inaccessible areas. Plus, discover hidden rooms and Easter eggs throughout the game.
