Devolver Digital boasts an impressive roster of Android titles including GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, Downwell, and Reigns: Game of Thrones. Soon, another exceptional title will join this collection – Carrion, the acclaimed "reverse-horror" experience, is coming to mobile.
First released in July 2020 for PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One, Carrion flips traditional horror tropes on their head. Developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital, this unique title launches on mobile October 31st.
What Makes Carrion Special?
Unlike traditional horror games where you escape monsters, Carrion lets you become the monster. You control a terrifying red organism that slithers through environments, devouring anyone in its path.
Contained within Relith Science's high-security research facility, this amorphous creature – simply called The Monster – was subjected to painful experiments. After breaking free, you'll exact revenge while escaping the complex.
As The Monster, you'll consume scientists, smash through barriers, and evolve new abilities. The mobile version preserves the core experience: spreading terror through vents and corridors while upgrading your sinister capabilities.
Getting Carrion On Mobile
Fans of Metroidvania-style exploration will appreciate Carrion's progression system. The pixel art aesthetic adds a strange charm to its violent gameplay.
The mobile version offers a free trial with the full game and DLC available through a single in-app purchase. Pre-register now on Google Play or download directly upon its October 31st launch.
