Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing new quests that encourage competition through fast clear times. In anticipation, Capcom has issued a strong statement against cheating, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for all players.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter X/Twitter account, Capcom warned players about the consequences of engaging in fraudulent ranking activities, such as using cheating tools or external aids. The company stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."
Capcom also highlighted that players who join multiplayer hunts with cheaters risk having their quest completion times invalidated and their rewards revoked. The company advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those suspected of engaging in prohibited activities. They encouraged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.
The new quests will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This makes Capcom's crackdown on cheating and suspicious behavior crucial, as it directly impacts the fairness of reward distribution and competition integrity.
