Breaking: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Enhance Gameplay with Feature for Challenge Tracking

Treyarch is developing a highly anticipated in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature, absent from the game's launch but present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, will allow players to monitor challenge progress within the game's UI. While a release date remains unannounced, its arrival is expected soon, potentially coinciding with the upcoming Season 2 content update later this month.

A recent January 9th update addressed various bug fixes in Black Ops 6's multiplayer and zombies modes, including UI and audio improvements, and an XP boost for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Significantly, Treyarch reversed a controversial Zombies change from January 3rd, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawn mechanics in Directed Mode following player feedback.

Challenge Tracker Confirmed

Treyarch confirmed the challenge tracker's development via Twitter, responding directly to a player inquiry. The feature's absence was a point of frustration for many players, especially those pursuing Mastery camos. The anticipated functionality mirrors Modern Warfare 3's system, providing real-time challenge progress updates within the in-game UI.

Additional Improvements on the Horizon

Beyond the challenge tracker, Treyarch also confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, addressing another player request for improved customization and convenience. This feature is also currently under development.
