Diablo Immortal's latest update, Patch 3.2: Shattered Sanctuary, concludes the game's inaugural chapter with a climactic battle against the Lord of Terror, Diablo. After a two-year quest to gather Worldstone shards, players finally confront Diablo, who has transformed Sanctuary into his infernal domain.
Longtime Diablo fans will recognize familiar faces, including the returning Tyrael, and will have the opportunity to acquire the legendary sword, El'druin.
A New Zone: World's Crown
Shattered Sanctuary introduces World's Crown, a chilling new zone featuring blood-red lakes, gravity-defying upward rain, and menacing, jagged structures. This expansive, dark, and unsettling area is the largest zone Blizzard has added to the game to date.
The Diablo Showdown
The centerpiece of the update is the multi-phase battle against Diablo. This challenging encounter tests players' skills with Diablo unleashing signature moves like Firestorm and Shadow Clones, amplified by the power of the final Worldstone shard. A new attack, Breath of Fear, adds another layer of difficulty, demanding quick reflexes and strategic positioning. Players will utilize El'druin to counter Diablo's devastating abilities.
New Challenges and Rewards
The update also includes new Helliquary Bosses, designed for cooperative gameplay, and Challenger Dungeons with randomized modifiers that require adaptability. The enhanced bounties offer challenging encounters with superior loot compared to other areas.
