Black Ops 6 Gets New Zombies Map

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its round-based survival mode, Zombies, with the introduction of a brand new map, marking it the fifth addition to the game. A sneak peek was shared via the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter account and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio's X (Twitter) page. On March 12, 2025, a captivating image showcased the front of a grand mansion, its walls scarred with damage, surrounded by flaming army car wreckage, dark plumes of black smoke, and internal fires.
The accompanying caption read "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" with a "#Zombies" hashtag. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a familiar character from the series, played a significant role in Call of Duty: Cold War. Given that Black Ops 6 is a remake of that title, it's no surprise to see Eddie return.
Sharp-eyed fans have identified this map as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991, as indicated on the teaser image. This timeline aligns seamlessly with the narrative from the previous Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the story.
One notable feature of the new map is the absence of Amalgam enemies. Treyarch confirmed this on their Instagram account in response to a fan's comment about expecting "the wrath of 20 amalgams on this map too," to which the developers simply replied, "Nope." Amalgams, known for their high HP and powerful attacks, are Elite class enemies. Their exclusion from this map could lead to a smoother and potentially more enjoyable gameplay experience.
