Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

Author : Emery Apr 25,2025

Attention, all Sims enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a grand return to your virtual neighborhoods with the latest update for The Sims 4. Whether you're playing on PC or console, get ready to meet Robin Banks, the crafty thief who's back to stir up some nocturnal mischief.

Robin Banks typically strikes under the cover of darkness, targeting homes when everyone's tucked in bed. But don't let your guard down completely; she's been known to attempt a bold heist even when your Sims are awake. So, keep your eyes peeled and your valuables locked away.

To fend off this cunning criminal, your Sims can equip their homes with a trusty burglar alarm. Should Robin trigger it, the police will swoop in to catch her red-handed and return your stolen goods. No alarm? No problem. A quick call to the authorities can still save the day, or if you're feeling brave, you can take matters into your own hands with some vigilante justice.

While these burglar events are not an everyday occurrence, if you crave more excitement, you can activate the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc to increase your chances of encountering Robin Banks.

The team behind The Sims expressed their excitement, saying, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe. Sending a special shout out to our full team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite being 10 years old, The Sims 4 continues to thrive, and the entire Sims series celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Last year alone, the game welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4 took four years to reach 20 million unique players as a premium game. But when it transitioned to free-to-play in 2022, it attracted an astonishing 31 million new players immediately, bringing the total to 85 million by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5. Plum!
