Atari Horror Platformer Haunts Android

AppSir Games, helmed by Darius Immanuel Guerrero, has unleashed a new retro horror platformer on Android: Spooky Pixel Hero. While this might seem like a new studio, AppSir Games boasts a successful history, having created the popular DERE series (DERE Vengeance, DERE EVIL, DERE: Rebirth of Horror), Puzzling Peaks, and HopBound.

Unmasking Spooky Pixel Hero

Players are thrust into a clandestine mission by a shadowy organization, assuming the role of a game developer tasked with repairing a 1976 platformer. Interestingly, the in-game title appears remarkably advanced for its time.

Spooky Pixel Hero transports players to the golden age of gaming. This vintage 2D pixel art game masterfully blends classic platforming with chilling horror. A dark narrative subtly unfolds as players navigate the levels.

With 120 levels, Spooky Pixel Hero offers substantial gameplay for a horror platformer. Players will encounter treacherous traps and mind-bending puzzles, each step revealing more of the game's twisted secrets.

The visuals evoke the 70s and 80s, seamlessly merging 1-bit and 8-bit pixel art for a nostalgic yet unsettling atmosphere. Intrigued? Check out the trailer below!
