Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed Shadows trailer showcases enhanced PC features. The trailer highlights support for upscaling technologies like DLSS 3.7, FSR 3.1, and XeSS 2, ultra-wide monitor compatibility, ray tracing effects (RTGI and RT Reflections), and extensive settings for optimization on lower-end PCs. A built-in benchmark tool is also included for performance testing.
Minimum PC specifications for 1080p at 30 FPS include an Intel Core i7 8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, and an NVIDIA GTX 1070 (8GB) or AMD RX 5700 (8GB) GPU. High-end specs for 4K at 60 FPS with ultra settings and ray tracing require an Intel Core i7 13700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, and an RTX 4090 (24GB) GPU.
Ubisoft partnered with Intel for optimization, promising strong performance on Intel processors. Post-launch assessments will determine AMD system performance. The focus is on addressing stuttering issues that plagued previous Assassin's Creed games; Mirage demonstrated improvements over Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, raising hopes for a smoother experience in Shadows.
Assassin's Creed Shadows launches March 20th on PC and consoles.
