Author : Matthew Apr 05,2025

Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus Essential titles for April 2025, featuring RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). These games were revealed through a PlayStation.Blog post and will be available to subscribers of the Essential tier at no extra cost, starting April 1, until the next update on May 5.

Which April 2025 PlayStation Plus game will you play first?

  • RoboCop: Rogue City
  • The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
  • Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory

PlayStation Plus users will find something for everyone in the April 2025 lineup. RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and Nacon, is a first-person shooter that immerses players in the role of Alex Murphy as he battles to save a crime-ridden Detroit. A significant update in January of the previous year added a New Game Plus mode, enhancing replayability. Our review at launch gave it a 7/10, praising its faithful recreation of the '80s atmosphere.

For those craving intense multiplayer action, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from Sumo Digital and Gun Media offers an asymmetrical experience where players either survive or hunt as part of the Slaughter Family. It's a thrilling, albeit technically challenging, game that we rated 6/10 at launch, noting its ability to deliver a few entertaining hours.

To balance out the high-octane action, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory by Bandai Namco provides a more relaxed experience. This 2018 release expands the digital world with over 320 Digimon to collect and a new perspective on the original Cyber Sleuth story.

As these titles become available next week, don't forget to download the March 2025 titles before they expire on March 31. The March lineup, including Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, was particularly strong, making it a great time for both subscribers and potential new members to add these games to their libraries.
