Ubisoft Mainz has recently shared exciting new details about their upcoming game, Anno 117: Pax Romana, through an engaging trailer. Initially, the game was set to explore two distinct regions: Lazio and Albion. However, the latest preview suggests that Lazio will serve as the starting point, setting the stage for the main adventure in Albion.
According to Creative Director Manuel Rainer, players begin their journey in the tranquil region of Lazio. But an unexpected disaster soon forces them to venture into uncharted territories. This leads them to Britain, known in the game as Albion, a place notorious for its harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and its remote location from Rome, all of which pose significant challenges to governance.
In Anno 117: Pax Romana, players take on the role of a governor, tasked with navigating these challenges without relying solely on force. Instead, fostering peace and harmony by respecting local customs is key. One of the game's standout features is the ability to customize ships. Players can choose between enhancing speed with additional oarsmen or bolstering firepower with onboard archery turrets, adding a strategic layer to the gameplay.
Anno 117: Pax Romana is set to launch in 2025, and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X, promising an immersive experience for fans of the series and newcomers alike.
