HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, has been busy lately, and their upcoming game, originally known as Astaweave Haven, has received a significant makeover – a name change! Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing transformations, and hopefully, for the better.
If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you may have already encountered the name Astaweave Haven. However, official details from MiHoYo have been scarce. What we do know suggests a departure from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha adventures.
Instead of another open-world gacha, Astaweave Haven, now rebranded as Petit Planet, appears to be heading in a life-sim or management game direction, reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.
The name change itself is a welcome one. Petit Planet sounds charming and subtly hints at the management sim genre, distinguishing it from MiHoYo's usual gacha RPG offerings.
Release Date Uncertainty
The game is still under development, with no official release date announced. While Astaweave Haven received approval in China for PC and mobile platforms in July, HoYoVerse registered Petit Planet on October 31st, awaiting approval in the US and UK.
Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's track record of rapid-fire releases (remember Zenless Zone Zero following Honkai: Star Rail? ), we can hope that once the name is approved, a proper unveiling of Petit Planet will quickly follow.
