In 2022, Innersloth transformed the gaming world by launching a virtual reality version of Among Us that received widespread praise. Now, the studio is pushing boundaries again with Among Us 3D, which offers a fully immersive first-person perspective without the need for a VR headset.
Fans can look forward to the familiar core mechanics, now reimagined for traditional gaming setups. A teaser trailer provides a sneak peek into how tasks, meetings, and sabotage will be experienced from the character's viewpoint. Excitingly, players will get the chance to dive into this new mode during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available for testing.
Although an official release date has not been set, Among Us 3D is slated to launch first on PC. It will be tailored for keyboard and mouse controls, featuring an updated interface that improves accessibility. Additionally, cross-play functionality will enable players of Among Us 3D to connect with those on Among Us VR, though the original Among Us will continue to operate independently.
To enhance the player experience further, Innersloth is set to introduce a new in-game currency called Stardust in the coming months. This addition will broaden customization options, allowing players more ways to personalize their avatars and contribute to the game's continuous development.
