The Shape: Best Non-Teachable Build (2025)
Playing The Shape without access to other Killers' perks presents a unique challenge, but with the right build, you can still dominate the trial. This setup leverages Save the Best for Last to shorten chase times, while Sloppy Butcher slows the game down with passive effects. Bitter Murmur and Hex: No One Escapes Death ensure a devastating endgame, eliminating the need for stalking to achieve instant downs.
- Save the Best for Last (The Shape) – Gain tokens for hitting non-Obsession Survivors, reducing basic attack cooldown by up to 32%. Hitting the Obsession loses two tokens.
- Hex: No One Escapes Death (General Perk) – Once the last generator is completed, Survivors become Exposed and gain a Haste effect until the Hex Totem is cleansed.
- Bitter Murmur (General Perk) – Reveals Survivor auras near completed generators and all Survivors' auras after the last generator is done.
- Sloppy Butcher (General Perk) – Inflicts Mangled and Hemorrhage, slowing healing by 25% and causing regression on unfinished healing.
The Shape: Best Build (2025)
This build is designed to hinder generator progress while giving The Shape a strong start, crucial for a Killer with limited early-game mobility. Focus on protecting a cluster of generators and utilize The Artist's Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance and The Cenobite's Deadlock to disrupt Survivor efforts. Lethal Pursuer aids in quickly locating Survivors for initial stalking, while Coup de Grâce enhances The Shape's performance around loops.
- Lethal Pursuer (The Nemesis) – See Survivor auras at the start of the match for nine seconds, with extended aura-reading duration.
- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (The Artist) – Hook Survivors on Scourge Hooks to blow up the most progressed generator, losing 25% of its progress.
- Deadlock (The Cenobite) – Blocks the most progressed generator for 25 seconds after any generator is completed.
- Coup de Grâce (The Twins) – Gain tokens with completed generators to increase lunge attack distance by 80%.
The Shape: Best Add-Ons (2025)
Memorial Flower
At common rarity, the Memorial Flower stands out as one of the best add-ons for The Shape. Its 11% increase in stalking rate helps counteract his slow pace, providing a subtle yet valuable boost.
Dead Rabbit
Despite its eerie nature, the Dead Rabbit significantly reduces the Terror Radius by 25% in Evil Within II. Pair it with perks like Monitor and Abuse to manage the increased Terror Radius in Evil Within III and keep Survivors on edge without alerting them too soon.
J. Myers Memorial
This add-on provides a solid 25% bonus to stalking gain rate, making it a top choice for The Shape. It's commonly used with the Tombstone Piece to mitigate the time needed to reach Evil Within III.
Hair Bow
Enhance The Shape's threat during Evil Within III with the Hair Bow. Combining it with the J. Myers Memorial allows for sustained pressure across the map with multiple Evil Within III activations.
Tombstone Piece
Considered The Shape's most potent add-on, the Tombstone Piece enables instant kills in Evil Within III, functioning like a Memento Mori. This ability can swiftly shift the game's momentum, surpassing even the Ultra Rare Judith’s Tombstone by avoiding its speed penalty.
Lock Of Hair
Lock of Hair extends Evil Within III by 40 seconds and boosts the stalk rate. Though the Hair Bow is typically preferred, the Lock of Hair is a strong alternative when combined with Lethal Pursuer and J. Myers Memorial.
Fragrant Tuft of Hair
This add-on drastically reduces the stalking rate by 200% but grants infinite Evil Within III. With this, you can instantly down Survivors without the need for stalking, revolutionizing The Shape's strategy.
